Country Singer — Cliff Carlisle

Cliff Carlisle was a guitarist and singer American hillbilly and country blues, born in 1904 and died in 1983.

Accompanied during several years the big Jimmie Rodgers, who influenced him deeply in his way of singing. However, Carlisle is known above all for his style of guitar, which he usually played with slide and lying on his knees in a style typically Hawaiian. He wrote about 500 songs, which he recorded more than half, most of them blues, collected by Arhoolie Records.
