Carrie Marie Underwood (Muskogee, Oklahoma, 10 March 1983) is an American country pop singer. Rose to fame by winning the 4th season of the popular talent contest American American Idol. Their albums have been classified multi-platinum, was honored with five awards Grammy, was introduced in 2009 at the Grand Ole Opry, and was named by the ACM (Academy of Country Music Awards) artist of the year.

Some Hearts debut album has been certified seven times Platinum and is the 2nd best debut album country history according to Nielsen SoundScan, just behind of Taylor Swift and her album Speak Now; It is the album that more sales records in comparison with other female interpreters history country music. His most recent album is called ‘Play On’ and went on sale on November 3, 2009 and the first single was Cowboy Casanova, which reached # 1 on Billboard Hot Country Songs. The second, foi “Temporary Home”, which also reached # 1 on the Hot Country Songs. “Undo it”, the third single, also reached # 1.

Underwood sang The Star-Spangled Banner in the Super Bowl XLIV in Miami, Florida, 7 February 2010.

Early

Grew up in a town Checotah, Oklahoma, daughter of Stephen and Carole Underwood, farmer and graduated in 2001 from Checotah High School. Underwood attended Northeastern State University, where she graduated in communications. 10 July 2010, Carrie married Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators.
